Summer is coming to an end, which means the cold season will soon be here. Soon, you will have to say goodbye to the beautiful sunpatien and wait for them to return.

Do Sunpatiens Come Back Every Year?
In short, no sunpatiens do not grow back every year as they are a naturally annual flower. They bloom in late spring and die when the cold front comes through.
Perennial flowers are plants that show their beautiful petals every spring and last for about two years. Their longevity is why they’re called “perennial,” a term that means through the years.
Then there is the lesser-known biennial flower which is a mix between a perennial and an annual plant. These late-bloomers will need at least two years to complete their life cycle, only producing foliage in the first year and petals in the second.

Is There a Way to Make Sunpatiens Last Longer?
Yes, there is. If you were to plant sunpatiens in a pot and bring them inside when the cold comes around, they’d last a lot longer. Sunpatiens are low-maintenance flowers, as long as you put them somewhere where they can get lots of sun.
